'Romantic Paris and the River Seine Experience'

PLACES OF INTEREST

PARIS – a great city with much to offer. There’s the Eiffel Tower, the Champs-Elysees, the Arc de Triomphe, the wonderful churches and the world-famous art collections at the Louvre.

CONFLANS & ROUEN – a important part of Normandy. Rouen is the place where Joan of Arc was imprisoned ! Don’t forget to make a visit to the gothic cathedral in Rouen.

VERNON – this is a charming town with 11th century Church of Notre Dame. Nearby is Giverny, the home of Claude Monet who lived and painted there from 1883 to 1926. The lily ponds that surround the charming stone farmhouse are a must to visit.

The River Seine flows 480 miles through France, from Dijon in the Alps, northwest to Le Havre on the coast, cutting Paris in half on its journey.

A Seine cruise is an excellent way to experience the river, view the banks of Paris, or relax in the countryside of France. There are options to either start your cruise from the coast seeing Normandy at its best or start from the splendours of Paris. Several major monuments in France are viewable from the waterway winding through the city.

The Eiffel Tour is on the south bank. While the Louvre, Grand Palais, and Concorde can be found on the north bank. The Notre Dame Cathedral, the Place du Paris Notre Dame are found in the centre of Paris on the Ile de la Cite (Island of the City) in the middle of the Seine River. Paris is a centre for museums, cafés, restaurants, monuments, and shopping.
