‘The Romantic River Rhine Experience’

PLACES OF INTEREST

AMSTERDAM – Holland’s capital city where there is always somewhere to explore ! Canals are a way of life here.

RUDENSHEIM – An area full of vineyards and the most popular and pretty Rhine Valley wine town. Visit Bromserhof, home to a fascinating collection of self-playing musical instruments.

COLOGNE – The oldest cathedral city on the Rhine and one of Germany’s most important trade centres.

The Rhine is a magnificent river for cruising. You can see vineyard-clad hill sides and beautiful fairytale like castles that line its banks.
Your journey will take you through a marvel of charming and medieval towns. The Rhine helps form a reservoir together with Lake Constance which is used to help irrigate the vineyards and land near to the river.
The river Rhine originates in the Swiss Alps and flows through Germany through to Holland’s North Sea. The most popular stretch of the Rhine is between Cologne and Mainz and between Dusseldorf to Basel and back.
You may be glad to know that on most Rhine River Cruises, especially while close to the Rhine Gorge, there are plenty of opportunities to taste and buy wine.
